Description
1.- In this line we question the notion of nation as an "imagined community" and try to rethink and question it from different disciplinary perspectives (history, communication, art history, gender studies, as well as from the contributions of postcolonial studies). Some comparative case studies will be carried out in Mexico, Latin America and South Africa. Historical production, "common" history, places of memory, political culture, artistic expressions, are all terrains "in dispute" that are constantly reconfigured and try to redefine the meaning of the nation.
