Semblanza

El Profesor Adalberto Abel Mosqueda Taylor, nacido en Taxco, Guerrero en mayo de 1956, es graduado de la primera generación de la Licenciatura en Estomatología de la UAM Unidad Xochimilco (1974-1978). Posteriormente realizó la Maestría en Ciencias en Patología Oral en la Universidad de Londres (1980-1981) y la Especialidad en Medicina Oral en la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (1987-1989).

Entre los reconocimientos obtenidos destacan: Premio Pedro Weiss al 1er lugar en el área de investigación en Patología y Antropología, Ministerio de la Presidencia, Lima Perú. Premios CONCYTEC (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) 1989; Investigador Nacional Nivel 3 del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores; Académico Titular de la Academia Nacional de Medicina de México; Doctor Honoris Causa de la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí; Profesor Honorario del Instituto Nacional de Cancerología de México; Miembro Honorífico de la Sociedad Española de Medicina Oral; Socio Honorario de la Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía Bucal y Maxilofacial; Miembro Honorario de la Sociedad Chilena de Patología Bucal; Profesor Honorario de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia; Medalla de Oro de la Sociedad Española de Medicina Oral, en reconocimiento a los aportes de colaboración científica y al desarrollo de la Sociedad. Miembro fundador y Ex-Presidente de la Academia Iberoamericana de Patología y Medicina Bucal.

Autor/coautor de 198 artículos, la mayoría publicados en revistas internacionales indizadas y con factor de impacto,18 capítulos publicados en libros de estomatología y medicina y tres libros publicados de la especialidad.

Responsable del proyecto de investigación "Estudio inmunohistoquímico de los componentes celulares y matriz extracelular relacionados a mecanismos de crecimiento tumoral y de cohesión celular en tumores y quistes odontogénicos. Estudio colaborativo multicéntrico internacional", en la que participan investigadores de México, Guatemala, Brasil, Uruguay, Perú, España y Japón.
Colaborador en registro de la patente IMPI 351321 para composición tópica estimulante de la salivación.
