Semblanza

La Doctora Martha Refugio Ortiz Posadas es Profesora Titular de Tiempo Completo en la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Iztapalapa desde 1990. Obtuvo la licenciatura en Ingeniería Biomédica en la misma Universidad en 1988; la Maestría en Sistemas, Planeación e Informática en la Universidad Iberoamericana en 1990 y el grado de Doctor en Ciencias en 1999 en la UAM Unidad Iztapalapa.

Actualmente trabaja en el Laboratorio de Informática Médica del Área de Investigación en Procesamiento Digital de Señales e Imágenes Biomédicas del Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica. Su interés principal en investigación es en dos líneas: Modelación matemática. Trabaja en la aplicación del enfoque lógico combinatorio de la teoría de reconocimiento de patrones, en la modelación matemática de problemas de las ciencias médico-biológicas, y el desarrollo de herramientas computacionales basadas en conocimiento para auxiliar la toma de decisiones médicas. E Ingeniería Clínica. Desarrolla y evalúa métodos relacionados con la gestión, la evaluación, el desempeño y el impacto que tiene la tecnología médica instalada en los hospitales, en la en la calidad de los servicios médicos.
