Semblanza

La Dra. Ana Laura Ibáñez Aguirre es Doctora, Maestra y Licenciada en Biología por la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). Realizó una estancia posdoctoral en el Hull International Fisheries Institute de la University of Hull (Reino Unido). Cuenta con más de 35 años de experiencia académica y de investigación en la UAM Iztapalapa, donde fungió como Coordinadora de la Maestría en Biología. Ostenta la distinción de Investigadora Nacional Nivel II en el Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII).

Es Profesora Investigadora Titular C de Tiempo Completo en el Departamento de Hidrobiología de la División de Ciencias Biológicas y de la Salud de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Iztapalapa.

Su línea de investigación se especializa en la biología, ecología y genética poblacional de peces (particularmente de la familia Mugilidae), el análisis morfométrico para la determinación de poblaciones pesqueras, la acuicultura y el repoblamiento de cuerpos de agua continentales. Su producción científica comprende 95 artículos indizados en el Journal Citation Reports (JCR), dos libros de investigación, tres libros de docencia y diversos capítulos de libro. Ha dirigido 39 tesis de licenciatura, maestría y doctorado, además de colaborar en comités evaluadores del CONAHCYT.
