Dr. Ricardo Cuéllar Romero is an economist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH). Throughout his academic career, he has authored various books and research articles published in specialized journals, focusing on topics related to political economy, history, anthropology, and workers' health.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Cuéllar Romero has been recognized with important distinctions, such as the IV Annual Political Economy Award "Juan F. Noyola," granted by the National College of Economists A.C., and the Annual Economic Research Award "Maestro Jesús Silva Herzog" in 1988, awarded by the Institute of Economic Research at UNAM.
Since 1979, Dr. Cuéllar Romero has served as a professor at the Xochimilco campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), contributing to the academic development of this institution. Now, after an outstanding career of more than four decades, Dr. Cuéllar Romero has retired, leaving behind a significant academic legacy at UAM.
