Profile
Dr. José Antonio Mata, a biologist from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico City), completed his Master of Science in Aquaculture studies at the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (CICESE, Ensenada) and the Doctorate in Sciences from from the University of Cádiz and the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (Higher Council for Scientific Research, ICMAN/CSIC) where he was recognized with the "Cum Laude" mention.
He was a member of the CONACYT Chairs program for young researchers for 6 years at the Oceanological Research Institute of the Autonomous University of Baja California. He has participated in plenary conferences at national and international conferences. He has more than 30 articles in high-impact international JCR journals.
Attached to the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Xochimilco Campus, as Professor/Titular Researcher C. He is part of the National System of Researchers Level 1 since 2017. He is a member of the editorial committee of the Aquaculture Magazine and guest editor of the Agricultue magazine for the special issue “Sustainable “Aquafeeds.”
