Profile

Professor María Anahí Gallardo Velázquez has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Master's Degree in Economic Development from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), and a Ph. D. in Organizational Studies from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

She was Head of the Administration and Development Processes Research Area (1993-1996) and Head of the Administration Department at UAM Azcapotzalco Campus (1996-2000).

She served as President of the UAM Azcapotzalco “Gestión y Estratégia” magazine and as a member of the Editorial Committee of “Administración y Organizaciones” magazine of UAM Xochimilco.

She has participated in the publication of specialized books and articles on various topics such as labor deregulation, the challenges of the public university in the face of neoliberal policy, the impacts of merit pay, the control and self-restraint of the worker, work stress, and the organizational repercussions and the effects of ICT on workers and the organizational climate.

She is a member of several academic networks: Academy of Administrative Sciences ACACIA, Latin American Association of Systemic ALAS, Mexican Network of Researchers in Organizational Studies REMINEO, and Mexican Association for Labor Studies AMET.
