Professor Luis Manuel Amezcua Guerra did his undergraduate degree in General Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) within the Program of High Academic Demand (PAEA) or Educational Quality Nuclei (NUCE). He completed an undergraduate medical internship at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán (INCMNSZ).
He did a Specialty in Internal Medicine at the Hospital Regional 1 de Octubre of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE). Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Subspecialty in Rheumatology at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chávez (INCICh). Chief Resident of Rheumatology.
Ph.D. in Biological and Health Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) and received the University Merit Medal.
He is a Researcher in Medical Sciences at the Department of Immunology of the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chávez (INCICh) and Coordinator of the Unidad de Investigación en Medicina Traslacional UNAM-INCICh. Head of the Department of Immunology of the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chávez (INCICh).
