Profile

Dr. Miguel Angel Méndez Sánchez was born in 1978, in Mexico City. He is an outstanding Mexican professional with a solid trajectory in the academic and technological fields. He recently completed his PhD in Educational Technology at the Centro Universitario Mar de Cortés in Culiacán, Sinaloa, where he conducts innovative research on intercultural English learning through in-person, hybrid, and virtual teaching modalities.

He holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Informatics from the Universidad Tecnológica de México, as well as technical training in computer science from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Since 2009, he has served as an Academic Technician at Level “E” in the Department of Philosophy at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus. There, he coordinates technological projects for teaching, develops interactive materials, optimizes digital infrastructure, manages furniture and equipment logistics, and oversees the department’s website and social media platforms.

Méndez, PhD has participated as a lecturer and workshop facilitator in numerous national and international academic events, addressing topics related to educational technology in foreign language teaching and the application of learning modalities in diverse contexts. Among his most notable contributions are the design and implementation of multimedia platforms and the virtualization of language laboratories, which have revolutionized learning processes at his institution.

He is also the author of various academic publications on integrating technologies into language teaching and creating digital learning environments. His experience as a virtual advisor during the COVID-19 health crisis reaffirms his commitment to educational innovation and his ability to adapt to emerging contexts.

With a career that combines teaching, research, and technological management, Miguel Ángel Méndez Sánchez, PhD in Educational Technology, continues to contribute to the development of tools and methodologies for 21st-century education.
