Profile
Professor Hugo Nájera has studied Biochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a B.S. in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM. He has done research stays at the Laboratory of Protein Biophysicochemistry of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and at the Laboratory of Phosphorescence Spectroscopy of the Istituto di Biofísica in Pisa, Italy.
He has been a Professor since 1996 in several institutions, since 2008 he is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. He is a founding member of the Branch of Physicochemistry and Protein Structure of the Mexican Society of Biochemistry. He has published articles dealing with protein biochemistry and has supervised more than 20 undergraduate and graduate theses, as well as postdoctoral fellowships. Since 1996 he has taught more than 180 undergraduate and graduate courses.
