Professor Daniel Ruiz Juárez is an Agricultural Engineer with a Master's degree in Sciences, a specialty in Phytosanitary, and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. He works as a Professor, holds the PRODEP Profile, and is a Candidate for the National System of Researchers by the National Council of Science and Technology.

He works on aspects of Quality and Food Safety. He develops lines of research in Quality parameters, Plant Health, and Agrifood Health and Safety based on applying Good Agricultural Practices in producing Fresh Fruits and Vegetables.
