Professor Ana Luisa Bravo de la Garza studied the Ph.D. in Biological and Health Sciences at the Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Cuajimalpa Campus, the Master in Biotechnology in Biological and Health Sciences, UAM Iztapalapa Campus and the Bachelor in Industrial Biochemical Engineering at UAM Iztapalapa Campus.

She has been an Academic Technician in the Department of Natural Sciences in the Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering at UAM Cuajimalpa Campus from January 2017 to date, a Part-time Curricular Professor in the Department of Processes and Engineering at the Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering, at UAM Cuajimalpa Campus from September 2016 to December 2016. Assistant Professor and Laboratory Professor in enzyme kinetics and engineering, mass transfer, and industrial biochemistry in the Division of Biological and Health Sciences, UAM Iztapalapa Campus. September 2000 to December 2003.

Master's degree advisor of Natural Sciences and Engineering of Cesar Gabriel Vázquez Lima, with the thesis titled Purification and characterization of polyphenol oxidase of Persea americana var. Hass.
And to Apolinar Misael Hernández Gómez, Ph.D. advisor in Natural Sciences and Engineering, with the thesis entitled Identification and selection of bacterial pathogenic microorganisms of the Aedes aegypti mosquito that are feasible as biocontrol agents through the analysis of their metagenome.

She participated in the XXXII National Congress of Biochemistry in November 2018 with the Poster Presentation "Influence of foreign bus passengers in the composition of the microbiome of Mexico City Subway". At the XIV National Congress of Biotechnology and Bioengineering in June 2011 with the Oral Presentation "Induction of alkane monooxygenases involved in MTBE cometabolism in bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas". At the Science and Innovation Week in November 2010 with the Oral presentation "Study of the expression of alkane monooxygenase enzymes involved in MTBE cometabolic biodegradation in Pseudomonas species." At the Microbial Biodiversity Symposium in October 2010 with the Poster Presentation of "Effect of inducers on the cometabolic biodegradation of MTBE in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas nit.
