Doctor Irma Gabriela Anaya Saavedra is a Professor of the Department of Health Care of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus, (2008 to date). Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Oral Pathology and Medicine, Xochimilco Campus (2015 to date). President of the Mexican Association of Pathology and Oral Medicine, Colegio A.C., 2019-2021.
She is a Dental Surgeon by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) (1993-1997). Specialty in Pathology and Oral Medicine by the UAM Xochimilco Campus (1998-1999). Training in Oral Pathology, Centro de Diagnóstico Histopatológico, Guatemala, 2000. Doctorate in Biological Sciences at the Xochimilco Campus (2003-2007).
She is the author of 41 specialized research articles in JCR indexed journals, five book chapters, and two books. Author and co-author of more than 160 papers in specialized scientific events (national and international). She has given more than 42 keynote lectures at scientific events. She has supervised 32 undergraduate theses, 21 specialty theses, 25 master's, and three doctoral theses.
She is responsible for the Clinics of Pathology and Oral Medicine of the Xochimilco Campus based at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition "Salvador Zubirán", Specialized Clinic Condesa and Condesa Iztapalapa, LDC "Rafael Lozano", and the Reference Center for oral mucosal lesions, Xochimilco Campus.
Member of the National System of Researchers. Level II (valid until 2024); Associate Editor of Oral Diseases Journal; .
