Professor Guillermo Castro Miranda was born in Mexico City. He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Xochimilco Campus in 1997 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics. He currently works at the Xochimilco Campus as a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Animal Production and belongs to the research area "Conservation and Marketing of Agricultural Products," teaching in the Common Divisional Trunk of CBS, an activity he has been developing for twenty years. His teaching activities have been carried out basically in the first two modules of the CBS division, in which he has also participated as a qualifying jury in the modular research congresses carried out by the students of both modules.

His research activities are related from the beginning to the area of food in its different facets, from production, processing, distribution, and sale on all aspects that ensure the quality and safety of the same and ensure the consumption of food free of the presence of microorganisms or particles harmful to the consumer and is a healthy consumption of these.

The research reports of the work have been made in scientific journals in conjunction with different colleagues in the research area he belongs to.
