Doctor Angélica Bautista is a Professor in the Bachelor's Degree of Social Psychology, Department of Sociology, Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus.

She is currently the Coordinator of the Master's and Doctorate in Social Psychology at UAM Iztapalapa Campus. She is also a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She is a Tutor of the Virtual Postgraduate Course "Cultural Policies and Cultural Management" of the Department of Anthropology of the Division of Social Sciences at UAM Iztapalapa Campus. She is also the Editorial Director of "El Alma Pública: Revista desdisciplinada de psicología social", and Head of the Academic Group Collective Action and Identities and is a Research Candidate by CONACYT (2019-2021).

Regarding her academic background, she holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Humanities from the Graduate Program of Social Sciences and Humanities of the UAM Cuajimalpa Campus (medal for academic merit), a Master's Degree in Social Psychology from the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Psychology of the UNAM (honorable mention) and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology of the UNAM (honorable mention). She specializes in Computer Science from the Computer Science Program of the UNAM.

Dr. Bautista has conducted research on Prostitution in the Historic Center of Mexico City, Collective Memory of the Neighborhood, and The Social Construction of Female Vulnerability.
