Profile

Professor Yvonne Cansigno Gutiérrez holds a Ph.D. in French Literature (University of Limoges France-2000). She has been a Professor in the Department of Humanities at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus since 1985. Coordinator of the Curricular Axis of French, DCSH/UAM Azcapotzalco Campus (2014-2015). Coordinator of Foreign Language Studies at the same Unit (2008-2009). Member of the PRIDE-UNAM Evaluation Commission (2007-2008). Head of the Humanities Department (Azcapotzalco Campus, 2007-2008).

Member of the UAM Humanities Evaluation Commission (2004-2007) and of the Applied Linguistics Research Group DH-UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus (2000-2013). Coordinator of the Academic Body PROMEP Applied Linguistics and Comparative Literature (2014-). Head of the Research Area Comparative Literature, Applied Linguistics and Information and Communication Technologies (LICOTIC) (2017-2020). Member of the National System of Researchers, Level I (1998-2018). President (2014-2016) and Vice President of the Association of Teachers and Researchers of French in Mexico AMIFRAM A.C (1990-1992, 1992-1994, 2004-2006). Editorial collaboration with Chemins Actuels magazine (AMIFRAM A.C., 2000-2016).

Delivered ten lectures and 60 presentations at specialized events on Didactics, teaching-learning of French as a Foreign Language and Spanish-American Literature. Organized ten Research Seminars on Foreign Languages, six AMIFRAM, A.C. National Congresses, five Pedagogical Conferences on FLE Teacher Training (Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, Escuela Nacional Preparatoria, UNINTER-Morelos, Universidad de Guadalajara, Universidad del Caribe-Cancún) and two CELEX-UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus Foreign Language Colloquiums.

Responsible for the Project "Developing writing skills in French foreign and second language in university context, through ICT (DCSH-UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus, 2018-). Coordination of the international Project "Développer des compétences d'écriture en FLES en contexte universitaire à l'aide des TIC", sponsored by Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (Canada,2009-2011, 2011-2015), collaboration of researchers UAM Unidad Azcapotzalco, FFy L UNAM, Université de Sherbrooke-Quebec, Université de Liège-Belgium, Université de Beirut-Lebanon.

Coordination of the international project "Les facteurs d'engagement des étudiants universitaires dans les activités d'écriture en Français Langue Etrangère et Langue Seconde", sponsored by the Quebec Ministry of International Relations (2007-2009), collaboration of researchers UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus, UNAM, Université de Sherbrooke-Quebec.

Participation in "Theories and methods of evaluation of linguistic knowledge and skills in Foreign Languages". Development of French language achievement and certification tests, GILA/DCSH/UAM Azcapotzalco Campus (2000 -2005) (2005-2007).

Participation in the Project "Necessity of a Foreign Language in the Graduate Programs of the UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus", Coordination of Foreign Languages-Seminar of Applied Linguistics of UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus (1997-1998).

Author of the book La voz de la poesía en México (Universidad de Tlaxcala/UAM Unidad Azcapotzalco Campus, 1993), El indio y la indianidad (Colegio de Michoacán/UAM Azcapotzalco Campus, 2002), digital book Ecos de presencias silenciosas (Ed. Académica española, 2012) and editorial coordination of the collective book Défis d'écriture (Université de Sherbrooke, Québec/UAM-A/CONACYT, 2010) and volume Le Français au Mexique: contribution à un premier état de lieux (UAM-Azcapotzalco Campus/DCSH, 2018).
