Dr. Margarita Juárez Nájera has the following educational training: January 2003 to May 2010. Doctor of Social Sciences in the International Off-Campus Program Cleaner Production, Cleaner Products, Ecology, and Sustainability Industrial. The doctoral issue explores the factors that can promote the behavior of decision-makers in higher education institutions towards education for sustainability. January to April 2005. Diploma in Education "A new vision of education" taught by the International Center for Prospective y Altos Studies S. C. for 55 hours. September 1983 to May 1986. Master in Environmental Engineering of the Division of Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, entitled in October 1996 with the thesis "Study of land pollution in industrial plants in the Environmental audit frame". September 1980 to March 1981. Regular Courses: Fundamentals of Environmental Pollution, Fundamentals of Meteorology and Special Problems of Sulfur and Dust particles at the Berlin Technological Institute (Technische Universitaet Berlin), German Federal Republic. 1973 - 1977. Bachelor of Industrial Chemical Engineering of the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico, D. F., entitled in May 1979 with the thesis: "Atmospheric pollution in the areas of Ecatepec and Dairy.
Research lines: 1) Pollution prevention from environmental management. That is, to address environmental pollution through applying processes where decision-makers use rationally, responsibly, and efficiently the organization's resources through strategies that integrate physical and cultural resources, as well as the individual and social material security and security of current and future human generations. 2) Higher education for sustainability reviewed through (i) pedagogical models to introduce the dimensions of sustainability (ecology, economy, and social) in the curriculum, and (ii) factors that are behind the sustainable behavior of teachers, students, and administrative staff in universities to formulate a model that promotes this behavior.
