Profile
Professor María Isabel del Carmen Guerrero Legarreta studied Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), a Master's Degree in Food at the University of Reading, England, and a Doctorate in Food with an emphasis on Muscle Food at the University of Guelph in Canada. She is a Distinguished Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) in the Department of Biotechnology of the Division of Biological and Health Sciences at the Iztapalapa Campus.
She has graduated fifteen doctors and thirteen masters of science. She has published eighty research articles, 22 dissemination articles, 54 book chapters, and nine compiled books.
Professor Guerrero has collaborated with various research and teaching institutions such as Yucatan, Tabasco, Chihuahua, Veracruz, Chapingo, Postgraduate College, and CIAD-Hermosillo.
