Professor Walter Beller Taboada is a doctor of philosophy from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a master's in Psychoanalytic Theory. He studied law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and studied at the University of Texas at El Paso.

He is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in the Xochimilco Campus, in the Department of Education and Communication.

Author of the text The concept object of transformation in the educational model of the UAM Xochimilco Campus, from the book Unconscious, logic and subjectivity. The ways of psychoanalysis. (Spanish academic editorial, 2012), Argumentation Notebook (didactic book, 2016), among other texts.

He was Coordinator of advisers to the President of the National Human Rights Commission (1991-1994). He was General Coordinator of Dissemination of the UAM (2013-2016). He kept the column "Essay and Horror" in the Excelsior newspaper.
