Dr. Fernando Carlos Jeannot Rossi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, and a Ph.D. in Economic Science from the Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, France.
At the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, he received recognition through the permanence grant, teaching incentives, and teaching grant, and he held Level I status in the CONACYT National System of Researchers (SNI).
He published numerous research articles in scientific journals in Mexico and abroad, focusing on research areas such as path dependence, artifact structure, adaptive efficiency, and populism.
In scientific, technological, and social development activities—including the formation of research groups, coordination of research projects, and participation in associations, research networks, commissions, and collegiate bodies—he served as coordinator of the research group in institutional economics in Mexico and participated as a member of the International Network of Economic Policy.
In his contributions to research dissemination, he published approximately 250 outreach articles in the newspaper El Economista (Mexico City) between 1990 and 1994.
His main distinctions and recognitions for research included UAM grants and more than thirty years of service as a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI).
