Dr. Eduardo Piña Garza served as Full-Time Professor C affiliated with the Department of Physics in the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering at the Autonomous Metropolitan University, Iztapalapa Campus.
He studied Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and earned his PhD from the Free University of Brussels in Brussels, Belgium. The Autonomous Metropolitan University recognized him as Distinguished Professor beginning in 1991 and as Emeritus Professor beginning in 2015.
