Professor María Magdalena Sánchez Jesús was a clinical nutritionist trained at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition 'Salvador Zubirán' (1990-1998). She was a professor of Human Nutrition since 1997.
Areas of expertise: Clinical Nutrition (1990-until her retirement); Clinical Psychogeriatrics (1998-until her retirement), with altruistic collaboration at the 'Fray Bernardino Álvarez' Psychiatric Hospital; and Gastrointestinal Diseases (2000-until her retirement), with an emphasis on hepatitis C virus infection and other liver diseases.
She was a member of the Comprehensive Nutrition Intervention Program (PRONUTRI-UAMX).
