Dr. María Teresa Ramírez Silva was a Full-Time Career Professor, Level C, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry in the Basic Sciences and Engineering Division at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus.
She studied for a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biology at the Faculty of Higher Studies Cuautitlán, UNAM. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry in the Basic Sciences and Engineering Division at the UAM, Iztapalapa Campus, in 1996, and conducted a research stay with Professor Salvador Alegret of the Sensor Group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1997.
