Profile
In memoriam
Dr. María Guadalupe Hernández Morales was born in Querétaro in October 1954 and passed away in 2024. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus; her Master’s degree in Physics at the same campus; and her Doctorate in Environmental Engineering at the Azcapotzalco Campus.
Among her recognitions from UAM, she received the Teaching Scholarship, the Academic Trajectory Scholarship, and the Prodep recognition for desirable profile.
Her research areas included theoretical and experimental studies of nonlinear systems, theoretical and experimental studies of pesticide separation through the use of membranes in water, theoretical and experimental studies on the use of soil as a filter for pesticide removal in water, as well as the synthesis and characterization of zeolite membranes for gas separation.
