Profile
Professor Jaime González Martínez was born in Mexico City in 1947. He was a tenured professor in the Department of Economics at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Azcapotzalco Campus. He earned a master’s degree in Economics and pursued doctoral studies in the same discipline at the Faculty of Economics of UNAM.
He taught courses on Political Economy and the development of the Mexican economy. He authored books on value theory, productivity, and technological change. Additionally, he wrote about:
a) Principles and techniques of mass production and flexible production,
b) Profit rate, long waves, and profitability crises,
c) Capital valorization and technological innovation,
d) The reproduction value of the labor force in Mexico: wages, prices, and productivity,
e) Profit rate, overaccumulation, and financial valorization.
