Profile
Born in Pachuca, Hidalgo, in September 1945, Professor Eugenio Manilla Calderón has been part of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus. He studied bachelor's degrees in Industrial Engineering and Technical Industrial Teaching at the National Center for Technical Industrial Education, and holds a diploma from the Advanced Management Program at IMED Mexico.
During his academic career, he belonged to the Department of Economics in the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, where his disciplinary focus was occupational safety and health, particularly in workplaces producing goods and services.
Among his most relevant academic achievements are his studies on the history and health in Mexico, the analysis of legal provisions on safety and health, and the development of proposals to improve penalties for non-compliance in workplaces. Additionally, he worked on defining legal obligations in safety and health for educational institutions and proposed modifications to the content of the "Operations Management" course in the Bachelor's Degree in Administration at UAM Iztapalapa.
