Profile
Professor Javier Ramírez Rodríguez earned a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. He served as a research professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) and as an adjunct professor in the Graduate Program in Engineering at UNAM. Additionally, he was a Level I member of the National System of Researchers (SNI).
At the University of Avignon, he worked as a full-time professor in July 2009 and later as a visiting professor from September 2011 to August 2013.
He supervised master’s and doctoral theses in the field of operations research and optimization. Between 2015 and 2018, he was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Optimization at UAM, Azcapotzalco Campus. His research interests included exact and heuristic methods for combinatorial optimization, graph theory, and soft computing.
He also served as a reviewer for various scientific journals, including:
• Discrete Mathematics
• British Journal of Mathematics & Computer Science
• Journal of Applied Research and Technology (JART)
• American Journal of Operation Research
• Computers & Operations Research
• Revista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquía
• RAIRO – Operations Research
• Revista de Matemática: Teoría y Aplicaciones
Furthermore, he was a member of the Editorial Committee of the American Journal of Operation Research (AJOR).
