Dr. Esiquio Martín Gutiérrez Armenta holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's degree in Educational Sciences, and both a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Sciences from ESIME Zacatenco at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). He serves as a Full-Time Senior Professor-Researcher in the Department of Systems within the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Azcapotzalco. He holds the PRODEP Desirable Profile recognition granted by the SEP and holds National Researcher Level I status in Mexico's Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII) under Area VIII (Engineering and Technological Development).
He is the founder and coordinator of the Robotics Club at UAM Azcapotzalco, fostering the design, manufacturing, and integration of competitive robotic systems. His primary research line specializes in mathematical modeling, numerical methods (finite element and boundary element methods), continuum mechanics, and computational simulation applied to mechanical engineering, structural analysis, heat transfer, sustainability, and robotics. His scholarly work includes publishing peer-reviewed journal articles, supervising capstone projects and applied research, and fostering comprehensive student training by linking teaching with technological innovation.
