Profile
Professor Jorge Morales Moreno Born in 1956, has a Bachelor degree in Sociology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus; a Master in Architecture, Urbanism from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Urban technician Ieal, Spain, with Doctorate studies in Historyography UAM Azcapotzalco Campus.
He has been a teacher in the divisions of Social Sciences and Humanities of the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus (1981 - 1987) and the UAM Iztapalapa Campus (1981 - 1984), as well as in the divisions of Science and Arts for the design of the Azcapotzalco Campus (1987 - 2020) and the UAM Xochimilco Campus (1993 - 1996).
Teacher at the History Seminar of Modern Art at the National School of Painting, Sculpture, and Engraving La Esmeralda (1986 - 1991, 2007 - 2020).
He was an advisor and curator of the Multimedia Center of the CENART (1995 - 1997). He was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Environmental Studies of York University (Toronto, Canada, 2001) and at the Department of History of Art and Architecture of the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, USA, 2010 - 2011). Tutor of the young scholarship program creators of the FANCA / CONACULTA in Multimedia (2012 -2013).
He publishes and investigates issues related to the construction of modern art and cultural identities.
