Dr. Jesús Eduardo Zúñiga León has a Master's and Doctorate in Biotechnology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus.
His line of research is focused on the bioinformatics and molecular characterization of the Egh16 virulence factor family of genes and proteins in entomopathogenic fungi, and the development of bioinformatics algorithms applied to the analysis of genes, proteins, and Omic data.
His scientific production includes six articles in international journals. He has developed a bioinformatics tool called NeVOmics with multiple applications in the biological area, which is published in the journal Genes (DOI: 10.3390/genes9120569).
He is co-supervising a master's thesis, advising a master's thesis, and advising a doctoral thesis. He has released more than 5 social services at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Xochimilco Campus.
Over the last three years, he has been involved in teaching activities at the undergraduate level at the Xochimilco Campus and Lerma Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), as well as at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex) in the Faculty of Sciences.
He has participated in several international and national jobs. He has participated as a synod in postgraduate degree exams. He has taught several bioinformatics courses aimed at researchers, graduate, and undergraduate students. In order to belong to the scientific community, he will apply to the SNII in the next call.
