Dr. Paola Hernández Chávez holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, a Master's degree in Humanities (History and Philosophy of Science), and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science specializing in Cognitive Science. She serves as a Professor-Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Azcapotzalco within the Department of Management. Author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications, she is a Permanent Fellow at the Center for Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also served as a Visiting Professor. She holds Level II status in Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNII).

Her primary research lines encompass cognitive science, theoretical and experimental studies on corruption, cognitive dysfunctions, bio-inspired technologies, complex systems, interdisciplinary approaches, and Artificial Intelligence.
