Profile

Professor Salvador Hernández Moreno, graduated as a Biologist at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus, under a modular system with a focus on Natural Resource Management, projects of ecological importance in his community, interested in understanding the biological interactions of the entomofauna associated with native plants

Motivated by the fascinating world of entomology, he continued with a master's degree in Plant Health with Orientation in Entomology and Acarology at the Montecillos Campus Postgraduate College, specifically in inter-union agroecological interactions (predator-parasitoid associated with its herbivore and the host plant), participating in projects on an international level.

Subsequently, he studied biological multitrophic interactions in applied entomology, specializing with a Ph.D. in Plant Health with orientation in Entomology and Acarology at the Postgraduate College, with the subject of tritrophic interactions with emphasis on Chemical Ecology and Insect Ethology.

He did a postdoc, with topics of multitrophic interactions in arthropods and their plants (pollinators, herbivores, predators and their plants) involving space-time variables.

Throughout his academic development, he continuously participates in conferences, specialization courses, and diploma courses in areas of interest: behavior, agroecology, chemical ecology, and multitrophic interactions.

He collaborates in the organization of scientific dissemination events, has experience as a teacher and has managed financing for the development of research projects.
