Dr. Carolina Peláez González obtained her Ph.D. in Social Sciences with a specialization in Sociology from the Center for Sociological Studies at El Colegio de México. She holds a master's degree in Gender Studies from the Center for Gender Studies at the same institution, and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Azcapotzalco Campus.

She is currently a Full-Time Professor-Researcher and Head of the Labor Studies Area in the Department of Social Relations at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Xochimilco Campus. She is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level I, and has a desirable profile in the PRODEP (Professional Development Program for Teachers) program.

Current Projects:

1. Gender relations in the shaping of maritime cultures dedicated to shrimp fishing offshore in Sinaloa.
2. Examples of labor precarity: Youth in the labor market in Mexico City.
2.1 Masculinization/feminization of labor: the case of male promotional models in Mexico City.
3. Feminism, experience, and forms of collective organization.
