Profile
Dr. Miriam Sosa Castro is a Tenured Full-Time Professor in the Department of Economics at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus. She holds a PhD in Economics, a Master's degree in Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Eco-economics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She has worked as a researcher, analyst and academic at several universities.
She has supervised 65 bachelor's and 9 master's thesis. She has published 74 research products in national and international specialized journals and books. She has taught more than 11 courses at doctoral level, 60 master's courses, 100 undergraduate courses and 4 modules in diploma courses. He has presented more than 115 papers in different national and international specialized academic events. She has participated as a referee in specialized academic journals and as a reviewer in academic events.
She has been recognized as a member of the National System of Researchers, Level I since 2018. She is also a numerary member of the Academy of Administrative Sciences and she belongs to the Scientific Committee and the Board of Directors of the Multinational Finance Society. She is a member of the Mexican Network of Scientists for Climate (REDCIC) and co-coordinator of the Climate Action Finance Working Group. Her lines of research are Financial Markets and Instruments, Climate Finance Action; Financial Econometrics; Climate Change and Economic and Financial Risk
