Profile

Dr. Rosalinda Campuzano Ángeles holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Institute of Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). She completed postdoctoral research in the Department of Biotechnology at UAM Iztapalapa and held the "Alfredo Sánchez Marroquín" Divisional Chair awarded by the Division of Biological and Health Sciences. She holds the rank of National Researcher Level I in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII).

She serves as a Full-Time Professor in the Department of Biotechnology within the Division of Biological and Health Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Iztapalapa.

Her research focuses on the biotechnological valorization of residual biomass, wastewater, industrial effluents, and the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) for the production of biofuels and high-value biocompounds. She has supervised undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses, accumulated over 650 citations in indexed literature, and led research projects supported by public and private funding.
