Professor Daniel Sandoval Cervantes received his law degree from the Universidad de las Américas and his Master's and Doctorate in Law from the Law School of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He is a research professor at the Department of Institutional Studies of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) in the Cuajimalpa Campus and is attached to the Department of Institutional Studies.

He is a member of the Asociación Nuestramericana de Estudios de Crítica Jurídica (ANEICJ); Coordinator of the CLACSO Working Group: "Law, classes and reconfiguration of capital" (2016-2019); Member of the CLACSO Working Group "Energy and Sustainable Development" (2019-2022). Member of the editorial committee of Nuestrapraxis. Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Legal Criticism. Coordinator of the CONACyT project: "Nature, regulation and dependent development in Mexico: the energy reform as an example of the law in dependent countries" (2016-2022). Member of the Red Nuestramericana "Law, class struggle and reconfiguration of capital".
