Professor Hugo Solís García (Mexico, 1976) is an electronic artist and Professor attached to the Department of Arts and Humanities at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). He specializes in the creative and aesthetic possibilities resulting from the intersection between sound, digital technologies, and interactivity.

He completed his undergraduate studies in piano at the National School of Music of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), his Masters in Arts and Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a DEA in Computer Science and Digital Communication at Pompeu Fabra University, and his Ph.D. in Digital Arts and Experimental Media at the University of Washington. He has exhibited his works and concerts nationally and internationally thanks to the granting of scholarships and support from various institutional programs such as FONCA, UNAM, TELMEX, MIT, University of Washington, DXARTS, IMEB-Bourges, the Multimedia Center, Transitio_MX, and Leonardo, among others.

He develops academic research and artistic production activities, both specialized in the intersection between the fields of art, science, and technology. She belongs to the PiATS Research Area (Practice as Research in Art, Transdiscipline, and Sound). And, he collaborates with the Area of Studies of Art, Science ,and Technology; belonging to the Department of Arts and Humanities of the UAM.

His most recent publications are the product of his lines of work in recent years. Recently, she published the book "El proceso en la producción de arte electrónico" (2019), and, she has collaborated in several publications, such as the chapter "Delta 16.57/-99.00" available in the book "Comunidades y contextos en las teorías y prácticas artísticas contemporáneas" (2016).

He is a Member of the National System of Art Creators of Mexico and of the National System of Researchers, level I. Currently, he is Head of the Arts and Humanities Department at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Lerma Campus.
