Profile
Professor Luis Ángel García Villarreal was born on April 4, 1983 in Mexico City. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
He is currently an Academic Technician at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus. He has been advisor of one terminal project and co-advisor of five terminal projects. He has taught undergraduate level laboratory courses in physics at the same institution since 2017. He is a member of the Grupo Temático de Laboratorios de Física Moderna, Atómica y Óptica (GTLFMAO) since 2019 at the same institution.
His research topics are laser spectroscopy, plasma physics and optics. He has articles published in well-accredited scientific journals such as: IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, Journal of Physics, Journal of Geophysical Research and Spectrochimica Acta Part B (Elsevier).
