Professor Jesús Manuel Ramos García holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Organizational Studies from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Iztapalapa Campus. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Tecnológica de la Mixteca, Huajuapan, Oaxaca. He is a Professor in the Department of Administration at UAM, Azcapotzalco Campus. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of CONACYT Mexico, level I, and has the desirable PRODEP profile of the Teacher Professional Development Program of the Mexican Ministry of Public Education.

He has served as Coordinator of Studies of the Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Coordinator of the blended mode of the Bachelor's Degree in Administration, and Coordinator of the institutional collaboration agreement UAM-UNACH to teach the distance learning Bachelor's Degree in Management of MSMEs. He is currently Head of the Department of Administration at UAM, Azcapotzalco Campus.

He is coordinator of the Research Seminar on Social Organizations and Innovation in Alternative Economies, coordinator of the Colloquium on Cooperativism in Mexico, Colloquium and Fair of Social Economy and Solidarity Administration. Founding member of the Mexico City Cultural Node for the Social and Solidarity Economy and member of the Mexican Network of Researchers in Organizational Studies and the Network of Cooperativism in Mexico.

He has recently coordinated the books Rationality of government and institutional change in Mexico, Public Administration in the current government, Indigenous Worlds: identity, territory, economy and management, and is the author of several book chapters and journal articles on social organizations, community, and cooperative organizations, and social innovation, among others.

His main lines of research are critical studies of administration, management, and organization of social enterprises, social and solidarity economy, cooperativism, and social and sustainable development.
