Profile
Dr. Midori Landa Castro serves as a Professor-Researcher in the Department of Materials. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. She has published peer-reviewed articles in international journals and presented at conferences specializing in Materials Science and Engineering. She currently belongs to the National System of Researchers (SNII), Level 1, and participates in academic collaboration networks at both national and international levels.
Her research focuses on electrodeposition and characterization of bimetallic nanoparticles for catalytic applications; mechanisms of nucleation and growth in electrochemical systems; evaluation of steels treated through thermochemical processes; and comparative analysis of treatments such as boriding, carburizing, and nitriding in steels.
In teaching, Dr. Landa Castro stands out for her commitment to the comprehensive education of her students. She promotes active participation, critical thinking, and personal motivation, integrating digital resources, hands-on experiences, and ethical values into the teaching-learning process.
