Professor Jorge del Arenal Fenochio is an architect (1976) from La Salle University, specializing in Environmental Design in ​​Landscape Architecture (1996) from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

Professor at UAM Azcapotzalco Campus in the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design (1978-2020). He is a member of the Area of ​​International Architecture and Urbanism of the Department of Evaluation of Design in Time of the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus (2010) in the line of Urban Contexts and Design.

The project Mexican Migrations and Urban image transformations in North American Cities aims to identify the artistic and urban trends already made in various geographical contexts, and that are considered to mark the barrial identity of Mexican migrant groups from the sixties to the present day, more than 60 continuous years of migration from Mexicans to the United States who decide to leave their country for economic, political, security and social reasons.

The analysis of a great diversity of works ranging from mural painting, sculpture, graphics, urban and domestic objects exemplify the thematic concepts used and managed in the urban space in which Mexican communities settle. Also, addressing the theme of public space and Latino urban art in urban-architectural design proposals will help to understand the presence and influence of the culture of Mexicans who live in the various territorial contexts of the United States.
