Profile
Professor Owen Eli Ceballos Mina was born in Buenaventura, Colombia, on December 5, 1979. He holds a degree in Economics from Universidad del Valle (Cali, Colombia) and a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master in Urban Studies from El Colegio de México.
He has been a Professor in the Department of Economics at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco since 2014, and a member of the National System of Researchers of Conacyt since 2015. Honorable mention in the Victor L. Urquidi Economics Award in 2014. Coordinator of the permanent research seminar on quantitative methods in applied economics since 2017.
His lines of research are related to household socioeconomic conditions, public policy evaluation, microeconometrics, and applied econometrics. Research topics: microeconomics, applied econometrics, economic development.Subdisciplines: labor economics; health economics; poverty and inequality; financial inclusion; household socioeconomic conditions.
