Profile
Professor Ma. Cristina Acosta García, a native of Actopan, Hidalgo, is a graduate of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus, where she received the University Merit Medal. She completed her Master's studies at the National School of Biological Sciences of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), where she received an honorable mention. She specialized in Electron Microscopy applied to Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and completed a research stay at the Paris Descartes University.
She has participated in several national and international congresses. In the academic field, she has directed undergraduate and graduate theses and collaborated in multidisciplinary research projects in the areas of Nanotechnology, Nanobiology, Nanobiotechnology, Neuronanotechnology, and others related to the application of probe and electron microscopy in the biological and materials areas, and has written scientific articles, anthologies, and taught undergraduate and graduate courses.
