Professor Edgar Correa Argueta was born in November 1977, in Mexico City. He studied a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at the Facultad de Educación Superior Zaragoza, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He completed a Master's Degree in Nursing (focus on Care Management) within the Graduate Program of the UNAM.

He has participated in research groups and commissions of the Area of State and Health Services: Academic Commission for the Development of the Program: Healthy University in the Xochimilco Campus (Inter-area Project); Educational intervention for the development of self-care capabilities in elderly people for the management and control of chronic degenerative diseases in the Xochimilco Campus; The insertion of graduates of the nursing degree of the UAM in different models: Service and Education; Interinstitutional Commission for Advanced Nursing Practice (Mexico); Commission for the creation of the Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing at the Xochimilco Campus; and in the Commission for the Updating of Plans and Programs of Study of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
