Doctor Daniel Hernández Gutiérrez is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Lerma Campus. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science with orientation in Communication Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He holds a Master's degree in Communication with Virtual Media from the Institute for Research in Communication and Culture (ICONOS).

He has held the position of Head of the Department of Cultural Studies at the Lerma Campus (2016-2020). He is certified as an online advisor for distance education courses by the Bachillerato a Distancia of the UNAM. Since 2016, he is the Academic Coordinator of the Seminar Mediaciones, Narrativas y Artefactos (MeNTe), organized by the Department of Cultural Studies.

He participated in the curricular design of the Bachelor's Degree in Education and Digital Technologies at the Lerma Campus. He was in charge of the technopedagogical design of the Aula Colaborativa project at UAM. He is president of the "Spaces Committee" of the Educational Innovation and Technological Appropriation Network (INEDAT).

His main lines of research are: educational spaces, digital culture and educational communication.
