Profile

Professor Alberto Rodríguez González holds a Ph.D. in Literary Theory from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus. Winner of the VII Prize for Best Graduate Thesis awarded by the Center for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Author of the book Vanguardia y americanismo: Hidalgo, Borges, Huidobro (UNAM, 2017). Co-editor of the book "Desafíos y debates para el estudio de la literatura contemporánea" (UAM - Azcapotzalco Campus, 2021) and the book "Negritudes latinoamericanas: arte, política y diversidad" (UAM - Azcapotzalco Campus).

He has published several book chapters and research articles. He is part of the Seminar of Mexican and Hispanic American Poetry of the Department of Humanities of the UAM - Azcapotzalco Campus. He is a member of the Editorial Bord of the University of Guadalajara Argos magazine. Member of the National System of Researchers of Conacyt.

His lines of research are avant-garde groups in Mexico and Latin America and contemporary Mexican poetry, electronic poetry, and the themes of body and writing.

He has been a Research Professor at UAM Azcapotzalco Campus, where he has taught undergraduate courses, as well as a Specialization in 20th-century Mexican Literature and a Master's Degree in Contemporary Mexican Literature.
He has worked at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) as editor and coordinator of the Centro de Creación Literaria Xavier Villaurrutia. Author of the collection of poems Feral (2018), published by Lunaria Ediciones.
