Professor Osvaldo López Díaz received his Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and his Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus.
He is responsible for the Veterinary Histopathology Laboratory at the Xochimilco Campus of the UAM. He is a member of the Mexican Society of Veterinary Pathology and the Latin American Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology.
His disciplinary area of research work is Anatomopathology and Clinical Pathology in wild animals. He received the Public Administration Award in 2011 Government of Mexico City.
