Professor Christos Vassis is an Architect from the University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece, Master's in Projects for Urban Development from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis for his Ph.D. in Urbanism at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

He has been a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus since 2012. He participates in the architecture career and the graduate program in design and urban studies. He has given several lectures nationally and internationally focused on his research topics.

His main concerns include sustainability and architectural tradition, popular architecture, the dialogue between architecture, site, and environment, as well as the dimensions of sustainability at the urban scale. The concepts of environmental urbanism and low-impact architecture explored in his research find their application in the professional field, through his collaboration with the AT T HIKA studio (https://www.regionatthika.com/).

In his professional life, he has participated and/or coordinated several interdisciplinary groups on urban issues such as Urban development plan for a new population center (Tabasco); Sustainable mobility plan for sites of historical value (Huamantla/Tlaxcala); Project for the improvement of sports and cultural infrastructure (Tapachula - Tuxtla Chico /Chiapas); Master plan for the theme (Tuxtla Gutierrez/ Chiapas); and Land use plan in Tetenco (Tlalpan, Mexico City).
