Professor Alejandro Estrella González Professor Alejandro Estrella González is a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Humanities of the Social Sciences and Humanities Division of the Cuajimalpa Campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Cadiz (Spain). He did a postdoctoral stay at the Institute of Social Research of the UNAM, with the research topic: "The Spanish philosophical exile in Mexico".

The areas of research in which he has worked are intellectual history, sociology of philosophy, historical epistemology and social history. He has carried out research stays at the University of Leeds, at the Complutense University of Madrid, at the University of Santiago de Compostela and at the Institute of Social Research of the UNAM. The product of this work is more than twenty articles and books, among which stand out: Filosofía y Ciudadanía (Edelvives, 2008) Clío ante el espejo (UCA and UAM, 2011); Libertad, progreso y autenticidad: ideas sobre México a través de las generaciones filosóficas (Jus, 2014); E.
