Professor Jacobo Sandoval was born in Mexico City in 1982, he is an Industrial Robotics Engineer by the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Master in Advanced Technology (Electronics, IPN), and Ph.D. in Advanced Technology.
He completed a doctoral stay at UCSD, USA, and is currently Associate Professor with PRODEP profile and is a member of AMEXCOMP, the disciplinary areas he develops are Robotics and Industry 4.0.
Responsible at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) for the first mobile robot developed by a Mexican institution for the Lunabotics International Competition at NASA, Kennedy Space Center. Developer of systems and machinery used in industry. Founder of the first interdepartmental area at UAM, participation as coordinator of studies and head of department, dissemination in national media about robotics.
